favethings

There are so many cool things out there since the birth of my first.  However, being a veteran to this game, I know there are a lot of unneccessaery thngs as well.  Here are my top favorite new baby must haves!

1.  Kissaluv Fitted Diaper:  Perfect size for newborns, incredibly soft and very absorbent!  Also comes with a snap down for the umbilical cord.

2. Twotara reversible romper:  For those of you who want a surprise, this is for you!  The makers of this line of baby clothing are absolutely genius! I am not one to splurge on buying both boy and girl outfits while waiting for delivery day.  I also find most gender neutral clothing to  be redundant.  I was super excited when I found Twotara’s reversible baby clothing!   I loved this little romper!  The best part is the two little pockets on the backside!

3. Bravado Nursing Tanks: Incredibly comfy, perfect fit and very supportive for the well endowed!  With my first, I bought multiple nursing tanks and bras that didn’t quite fit properly, ya know, the ones that give you that third boob!  They also were not great quality and did not do well after multiple washings.  With my first, I was gifted a Bravado nursing tank and a bra and it was probably the best thing to ever happen to my boobs.  They fit great and are great quality. I am using some now that I used with my first five years ago!  Worth every penny!

4. Moby Wrap: I love my Moby!  It does seem a little intimidating at first, but there are a lot of great tutorials on youtube that can help you get over the intimidation. Check some out here.  I think this is a must have for when you have a newborn baby who wants to be held all the time! Harrison and Braeden have taken many naps in this, which allowed me to get stuff done around the house.  I also love the new patterns.

5.  NoseFrida: Best booger sucker ever! It does seem a little strange at first compared to your typical nose bulb, but this thing works great!  We are currently battling our first cold with Harrison, and I cannot stress enough how well this works!  Plus, it is super easy to clean.  Which was super important to me, especially after seeing this picture that has been circulating on Facebook! images

6. Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter: This got me through the first few weeks of soreness that comes with nursing.  It has zero toxins and no lanolin.  Plus, I think it smells like chocolate!

7. Boppy: Good old Boppy!  I loved this and have been using it since my first.  It gives you the extra support you need to help get baby into proper nursing positions.  You can also use it to help support sitting and a prop for tummy time.

8/9. Thirsties Duo Wrap and Green Mountain Diaper Prefolds: When cloth diapering a newborn, most AIO’s and pockets will not fit.  You can purchase newborn cloth diapers, but it can be pricey for the short amount of time you use them.  A cheap alternative is just going with prefolds and covers.  I did this with Harrison from day one, It was really super easy to do.  I will get to a how to cloth diaper a newborn post soon!
