Pariday TendHer Pillows {review}

Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing, but sometimes it can come with a lot of challenges. People love to talk about all the great things about breastfeeding–but fail to mention some of the bumps you can run into along the way. Breastfeeding can be rough, especially the first few weeks. It can be very painful while you and your little one are learning each other and creating your breastfeeding relationship.  With my first, I had a lot of issues nursing due to tongue-tie.

I have had the opportunity to review Pariday TendHer Pillows, and they came at just the right time!  My little one has been going through a growth spurt and has been attached to the boob!  The frequent nursing sessions have led to sore, aching breasts.  And let me tell you Pariday TendHer Pillows are awesome!

The Pariday TendHer Pillow was created by moms for moms.  They each experienced their own breastfeeding challenges, and felt that there needed to be a better solution for temporary pain relief.

So, what are  Pariday TendHer Pillows?

The Pariday TendHer Pillowcases are extremely soft.  One side has a silky soft, stretchy fabric that helps to wick away any moisture while the other side contains a waterproof material to help reduce any leaking.  The opening is perfectly sized  to easily insert the pillow.

Compared to other name brand temporary breastfeeding relief pads that are only good for 72 hours,the Pariday TendHer inserts are reusable for up to 4 weeks.  They outer layer is completely BHA  and phthalate free.  While the inside gel is all vegetarian food-based.  This means that they are safe for you and your baby, there is no need to wipe your breast clean after using and before nursing, like other relief pads.

I am always leery with any breast pads because I hate that obvious circle outlines that comes with wearing them!  The  pillows are extremely thin and the gel inserts help to easily mold to your breast.  This makes them seriously unnoticeable compared to other nursing pads that I have used in the past. I even tried these with just a plain tight,white tank and I could not see the outline of the pillows, which is awesome!

Also, compared to other name brand breastfeeding relief pads, most of which only offer a cooling sensation, the Pariday TendHer’s can be used chilled, warmed or at room temperature. To chill, place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Chilling the TendHer’s was my favorite way to wear these because they soothed my soreness.  But they can also be warmed, which I can see being  perfect relief to ailments, such as clogged ducts.  To warm, just throw the pillow insert into some warm water, dry and place in the pillowcase!

The pillow cases are easily washable.  It is recommended to be washed in cold water and hung dry.  I can see them easily being hand washed as well. I did wash mine using a garment bag and it washed well.

Overall, the Pariday TendHer’s have been a go to for my breastfeeding relief needs!  I honestly wish I had a set for with my first!  They are perfect for new moms but really  to any nursing mom, they are definitely worth checking out!
